뉴 노멀리티.

‘사람은 어떤 것이든, 심지어 누구를 죽이는 것에도 익숙해질 수 있다. 이것이 간단하지만 잔인한 진실이다.’

인류는 끊임없이 변화하며, 그것이 바로 삶의 본질이다. 따라서 우리는 항상 '뉴 노멀리티'에 적응하며 살아간다. 이런 변화들은 보통 느리고 점진적으로 일어나기 때문에 , 겨울에서 여름으로 계절이 바뀌는 것 처럼 알지 못하는 사이에 변화가 일어난다.

이런 변화들 중 일부는, 가령 노동조건이 열악하고 임금이 낮은 개발도상국으로 대기업이 생산거점을옮기는것처럼추악하고우리의시선에들어오지않을수있다. 최근들어, 너무나 빠른 속도로 변화하는 우리의 삶은 대부분의 사람들을 혼란에 빠트리거나 두려움에 떨게 했다.

이번전시를통해각각다른환경에서성장한네명의예술가들이이러한혼란의시대가 그들에게 어떻게 각인되었는지를 보여줄 것이다.

New Normality.

The human race is constantly in a state of change, that is the nature of life. We are always adjusting to a kind of ‘new normality’. Usually, these changes are slow and gradual, you may not even notice them happening, like the lengthening of the days from winter to summer.

Some of these changes are ugly and obscured from view, such as companies continuously moving their production to developing nations where the working conditions are poor and wages low. In recent times, life has changed so quickly, and drastically it has sent most people reeling, confused, and scared.

Four artists from very different backgrounds have come together to show how these times of turmoil have imprinted on them.
